Katherine Howe

With over 14 years of experience in fundraising and client services, Katherine is, without question, the most outstanding Client Services Director I have had the privilege of working with. She exemplifies what it means to be in trusted hands, combining strategic insight with a simple ability to exhibit excellence in everything she does.

Katherine understands that at the heart of successful fundraising is not just a strong message, but a strong relationship. She builds those relationships with authenticity, warmth, and professionalism, earning the trust of clients, colleagues, and partners alike. Her clients consistently describe her as highly efficient, approachable, and deeply conscientious – someone who can be counted on in even the most complex and high-pressure situations.

Beyond her exceptional people skills, Katherine is a fantastic strategic thinker. She has a rare ability to translate vision into practical, actionable plans, always keeping the donor at the centre.

In short, Katherine is not only one of the most capable fundraising professionals in the sector, but also one of the most trusted. Any charity that has the opportunity to work with her is in the very best of hands.

Rachael began her career at Bluefrog in 2005 as an Account Manager, where she quickly developed a reputation for her sharp insight and client-focused approach. After five years, she moved client-side to Save the Children, gaining invaluable first-hand experience of the challenges and opportunities facing charities from within. In 2011, she returned to Bluefrog, bringing that dual perspective to her work with a wide range of clients.

At MPFA, Rachael digs beneath the surface of donor behaviour – understanding not just how donors give, but why. She has a particular interest in the psychology of giving, the influence of brand on the fundraising relationship, and how insight can shape creative work that truly resonates.

Rachael works closely with clients to:

  • Translate donor insight into creative strategies that drive loyalty and income.

  • Bridge the gap between data, donor motivation, and creative execution.

  • Ensure that fundraising campaigns are built on evidence, not guesswork – anchored in what supporters need and expect at each stage of their journey.

With her blend of analytical thinking, strategic oversight, and creative instinct, Rachael plays a pivotal role in helping our clients deliver fundraising that connects deeply with donors, strengthens relationships, and delivers long-term growth.
